The document discusses the potential actors for roles in a mafia film trailer. Joe Pesci would play Tony DiCarlo, the main character, due to his experience playing criminal roles and Italian-American heritage. Al Pacino would play the boss Luca Mazarone for his roles portraying powerful criminals. Sharon Stone would play Frankie Mazarone for her acting skills and role in Casino. Frank Vincent would play Philly DiMaggio since he often plays gangster roles and has worked with the director and other actors considered for roles.

1. Actors
The following descriptions explain which real time actors we would have used in our trailers and also
who would actually be playing the parts of characters in our trailer.
1. Tony ‘The Bull’ DiCarlo – Our main character in the trailer is Tony Di Carlo, of whom would
be played by well‐known gangster actor Joe Pesci. His trademarks are that he often plays a
criminal and short‐tempered, obscene, even psychotic characters which makes him perfect
for the part of aspirational, madman gangster Tony. Not only is his past experience useful,
but his heritage is too as he is Italian‐American just like the character. His work with
Scorsese is useful too as the director would be Martin Scorsese who has worked numerous
times with Pesci before. All these attributes are the reason why Joe Pesci is the perfect
person to play Tony ‘The Bull’ Di Carlo.
2. Luca Mazarone – The role of the boss of the mafia would be played by Al Pacino.
Considering Pacino’s past experiences in playing criminal and gangster roles, most
specifically of men of power and authority, this was an easy choice to make. Plus, his
‘smoke‐burnished’ voice, as it is described, gives him flair as a stereotypical mafia boss that
is getting on in years. Another great trait of his is that he is so well‐known and accomplished
that he will give the film the star appeal that the audience sought after.
3. Frankie Mazarone – The role of the boss’s wife would be played by a woman who doesn’t
necessarily specialize in gangster movies but has been acknowledged time and again for her
acting skill. We chose Sharon Stone for this part because of her immense experience in
acting, the commendation she has received in the post and because of one of her most
notable performances as Robert De Niro’s drug crazed wife in ‘Casino’, which is slightly
relative to the part of Frankie Mazarone.
4. Philly ‘Bats’ DiMaggio – This part of the boss’s own personal Capo would go to Frank
Vincent, for a number of reasons. Not only is he a noted and talented actor that specialises
in crime and gangster movies, he will fit in well with the rest of the crew and cast having
worked with some before numerous times. He has worked with Joe Pesci and recognized
and cast in three notable films by Martin Scorsese (Casino, Goodfellas and Raging Bull). He is
appearing in the TV series The Sopranos and has been noted as one of the most versatile
and resourceful character actors.
