I chose Vasil to play the
main guy in the video
because he has got that
mainstream ‘pretty boy’
I chose Keyla to play the female look which is appealing to
protagonist because she has the the female audience
stereotypical look I am aiming for – recently.
feminine, naive and fragile which links
to the male gaze theory (within the
media women are portrayed as how
men want to see them)
4. The band

I chose a girl to play the role of
the cello musicians because the
instrument is predominantly
played by female musicians as it
is gentle and tender.

I chose those two girls because
they are young and beautiful and
they would have stereotypical
appearance of girls you find in
rock videos once the make up is
done and they wear their
costumes. The use of make up and
costumes + their role in the video
would allow me to apply male
gaze theory which I discussed
earlier in my music videos
research
6. The boys band
Oasis were famous in the
90s however in
contemporary times
Coldplay are the ones the
majority of us know
therefore I was aiming for
my actors all together to
have that contemporary
rock band appearance.
