1. ABSTRACT
The aim of Exam Registration System is to automate registering student details, maintaining the
student detail, retrieving the specific details when necessary, security from unauthorized access,
functionalities such as insert, delete, update, etc, which must be independent of each other are to
be made possible, issuing the hall ticket. This system will help in registering student details to
issue hall ticket for the exam. The student can enter to register their details only with their valid
username and password. The user can print the hall ticket immediately after registering their
details. The administrator will issue the hall ticket only if the student has paid the fee. This
Project mainly deals with Login form, Student details, Student report and Student database.
INTRODUCTION
This project is entitled “exam registration system”. The Exam Registration system will help in
registering student details to issue hall ticket for the exam the following module describes how
the project works. Module-1 is the login form in which the user or the admin has to enter the user
name and password to enter into the exam registration application system.
Module-2 is the form where the student can enter in to register their details and in the same form
the admin can enter to manage the student data base and to retrieve it.
Module-3 is the form where the student registers their details in order to receive their hall ticket
only if they have paid the fee. As soon as the student submits their details the hall ticket will be
issued by admin to print if else, the hall ticket will not be issued
Module-4 is the form where the admin maintain the student database to insert, delete and update.
The complete data of the student can otherwise be viewed in grid form.
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT :
The main aim of this software requirement specification is to give a detailed idea about the
various specification and the functionalities of the software. This mainly focuses for the
understanding of the various users who are going to use this software and the best way to make
the software behave in a normal manner and user friendly. More or less this may be considered a
manual for the software going to be developed.
The exam registration system automates the system, pre-checking the inclusion of all details,
automatically initializing the hall ticket and other details .It checks out to see if the fee is paid
based on which to check out if the hall ticket has already been issued.
SYSTEM DESIGN:
Design has been described as a multi step process in which representations of data structure,
program structure, interface characteristics and procedural details are synthesized from
information requirements. The design phase begins when the requirements specification
document for the software to be developed, is available.
System design is a creative and challenging phase that serves as a foundation for all software
engineering and maintenance steps that follows. Design builds coherent, well-planned
representation of programs. The design specification describes the feature of the system, the
components or elements of the system and their appearance to users. In the design phase,
2. dataflow, data-stores, processes, procedures, controls etc. are designed.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The student who wants to write the exam will have to register their details. The system built is to
be used by students and managed by an administration. The student has to login before any
processing is to be done. The registrar maintain the details and view all the students who have
registered to paper for an exam.
Exam registration system automates the system, rechecking the inclusion of all details,
automatically initializing the date of exam and other details. It checks out to see if the fee is paid,
based on which to check out if the hall ticket has already been issued.
The user will register with the system by providing personal information such as name, date of
birth, gender, subject, and its code and registration number. Upon the successful payment of fees
and given the relevant student details the student will be issued the hall ticket. Only registered
student’s can attend the exam. Using certain cryptographic techniques the details of the students
is being fed in. Communication needs to be restricted when the student is trying to access the
details that are submitted.
DESCRIPTION:
The use diagram in exam registration system includes two actors called student and admin. Our
use case consists of elements that lie inside the system and are responsible for the functionality
and behavior of the system. Our system involves use cases such as Entering into the application,
submitting all details, Admin Login, Updating the student, Checking eligibility, Issuing Hall
Ticket
CLASS DIAGRAM:
The UML class diagram is the main static analysis diagram. Class diagrams show the static
structure of the model. Class diagram is collection of static modeling elements, such as classes
and their relationships.
CONCLUSIONS
Computerization will be immense help to the user. The programs were coded in an easier and
more structured manner so that any possible modifications can be done easily. This system is a
user friendly one. The users can handle the system easily and they can make any changes without
the need of the system department staff. The processing time is very less when compared with a
manual work. This project is completed within the given duration. The entire system was
developed with full documentation with the stipulated time period with minimum usage of
available resources.
