This document summarizes the Level 1 ESOL Skills for Progression qualification, which is awarded by the National Open College Network. The qualification has three parts and is assessed through credits earned for successfully completing tasks, written work, or speaking activities. Learners can progress from the Award to the Certificate to the Diploma by completing all 14 units and attending the full course. After completing Level 1, learners can progress to Level 1, 2, or 3 vocational or academic courses depending on their skills and experience.
