Siberian State Medical University (SSMU) was established in 1888 in Tomsk, Russia by decree of Emperor Alexander II. For over 125 years, SSMU has trained over 60,000 doctors and pharmacists. SSMU has over 4,000 students from 47 Russian regions and 13 foreign countries studying across departments of general medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and other health fields. SSMU operates medical clinics that provide care to over 19,000 patients annually and conducts research across six centers focused on fields like immunology, molecular medicine, and biotechnology.
