Ibn Battuta was a 14th century Moroccan explorer who traveled extensively throughout the Muslim world for 30 years, covering over 75,000 miles. He wrote an important travelogue called Rihla that documented his journeys and provided information about routes between countries. As a scholar, he helped spread Islam and shared new technologies. He played a role in establishing peace between Malaysia and India. His extensive travels and written account made him one of the most notable explorers of his time.
