Bill Gates was born in 1955 in Seattle, Washington. He grew up in an upper-middle class family and was a keen reader and strong in math and science. He graduated near the top of his high school class and enrolled at Harvard in 1973. Gates dropped out of Harvard to pursue his business, Microsoft, with his partner Paul Allen. As the founder of Microsoft, Gates became one of the most influential and richest people in the world through his transformational leadership style and passion for his work.
