A well-known person I admire

1. A WELL-KNOWN PERSON I ADMIRE

2. INTRODUCTION
 I think that for every person it is quiet useful to
admire someone. But I do not mean when you
like the way someone is dressed or looks.
Actually I think that it is important to preserve
one’s personality in everything.

3. WHY DO WE NEED SUCH PEOPLE
IN LIFE?
 Generally speaking we need such idols to
achieve something this person has already
achieved. The most difficult thing here is to see
in your idol not only good points, but also bad
ones.

4. MY PERSON TO ADMIRE
 Angelina Jolie is the person I admire most. Angelina
Jolie, actress and Hollywood icon was named 2009’s
most powerful celebrity in the world by Forbes
magazine. But Jolie is not just a celebrity. She is a
working mother, humanitarian, and a successful
business woman.

5. BIOGRAPHY OF ANGELINA JOLIE
 Born in Los Angeles, California, on June 4, 1975,
Angelina Jolie starred in the HBO biopic Gia before
earning an Academy Award for best supporting actress
for Girl, Interrupted. Jolie has become one of
Hollywood's top marquee names, having starred in
movies like Wanted, Mr. and Mrs. Smith,
Salt and Changeling. She's also directed the film In the
Land of Blood and Honey, and is coupled with actor
Brad Pitt.

6. JOLIE'S EDUCATION
 Jolie studied at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute in her
early teens and later attended New York University
where she studied film making and writing. In her teens,
she studied embalming with the goal of becoming a
funeral director.

7. HUMANITARIAN ACTIVITIES
 It was while she was in Cambodia in 2001,
shooting Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, that Angelina Jolie
became aware of the suffering of the people in that war-
ravaged country — “my eyes started to open,” she would
later say. That experience — and a greater understanding
of a worldwide humanitarian crisis – led the actress to
contact the United Nations High Commissioner for
Refugees later that year.

8. HUMANITARIAN AWARDS:
 2001 – Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee
Agency for her advocacy and work in obtaining aid for
refugees in in many countries including Cambodia,
Darfur and Jordan.
 2005 – Global Humanitarian Action Award (United
Nation Association of the USA) for her role as an
ongoing activist for refugee rights.

10. ANGELINA JOLIE IS EXAMPLE TO
FOLLOW
 Angelina Jolie sets a good example for people to do good
things for others by doing charity work such as donating
to the poor and helping people out, even if it’s just a
young child seeking a friend. She is a humanitarian. Jolie
is also the good-will ambassador for the United Nations
Refugee Agency. She showed she is helpful and caring
by adopting two children.

11. WHY DO I ADMIRE HER
 She went through the troubles and kept trying. She
never gave up. This is a quality a hero should have. She
shows me that it is possible to get through even the
toughest situations.

12. CONCLUSION
 To my mind it is better to admire not someone’s
appearance or popularity, but someone’s
professionalism.. It is great when your admiration for
someone helps find one’s way in life.
