Stacks are a new feature in Mac OS X Leopard that allow files and folders to be accessed directly from the Dock. Stacks can be created by dragging a folder to the Dock and will display their contents in a fan or grid. Files can be easily opened, organized, or removed from a stack. The Documents and Downloads stacks are included to help access and manage common file types.
