This document provides an overview of the current state and future plans for a life sciences company's informatics initiatives and solutions portfolio across multiple years. It details various initiatives, modules, and solutions related to data management, analytics, clinical operations and trials, computational modeling, partnerships and research networks, predictive safety signaling, innovative therapeutics and biomarkers, clinical decision support, bio-banks, patient portals, and other areas aimed to support research, clinical trials, and compliance. The initiatives and solutions are organized by topic and year to outline the company's roadmap for advancing their informatics capabilities.
Pre-clinical drug discovery strategies include target-based and phenotypic screening, natural substance modifications and biologic approaches. To demonstrate how cheminformatics approaches contributed to the discovery of new medicines we analysed recently approved drugs. In this presentations, we place ChemAxon’s Discovery toolkit in this context and demonstrate possible applications for 2D and 3D similarity studies, high-throughput pairwise molecular alignments or scaffold hopping. Moreover, we also discuss the technological challenges and realization of such applications in corporate platforms.

The Open PHACTS Discovery Platform aims to provide an integrated information space to advance pharmacological research in the area of drug discovery. Effective drug discovery requires comprehensive data coverage, i.e. integrating all available sources of pharmacology data. While many relevant data sources are available on the linked open data cloud, their content needs to be combined with that of commercial datasets and the licensing of these commercial datasets respected when providing access to the data. Additionally, pharmaceutical companies have built up their own extensive private data collections that they require to be included in their pharmacological dataspace. In this paper we discuss the challenges of incorporating private and commercial data into a linked dataspace: focusing on the modelling of these datasets and their interlinking. We also present the graph-based access control mechanism that ensures commercial and private datasets are only available to authorized users.

The discovery of clinical insights through effective management and reuse of data requires several conditions to be optimized: Data need to be digital, data need to be structured, and data need to be standardized in terms of metadata and ontology. This presentation describes a bioinformatics system that combines a next-generation biobank management model mapped to applicable international standards and guidelines with a master ontology that controls all input and output and is able to add unique properties to meet the specialized needs of clinicians for cross-disease research.
The clinical development data deluge is reaching critical mass for pharmaceuticals. Use of varied data for targeted outcomes remains difficult, despite studies that generate evidence of the risk-benefit profile of investigational products. New technologies are federating the ability to leverage analytic-ready data for innovations in clinical operations and clinical science. With the application of clinical data-as-a-service and meta-data core, centralized clinical data lakes have the power to improve data quality, evidence generation, and time-to-insights.

Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
