Autograph Collector’s Club (UACC), a nonprofit
organization that serves to educate collectors and form a
network of reliable appraisers and authenticators.
A group of collectors in Long Island, New York, established
the UACC in 1965 with a commitment to educating current
collectors and sharing the hobby with potential collectors.
Its growth over the years enabled it to become one of the
world’s premier organizations for collectors and produce
the award-winning journal The Pen and Quill. Furthermore,
the UACC serves members in more than 20 countries across
the globe.

3.  In 2011, the UACC announced a shift in direction in
response to impressions of a rift within the autograph
community. Advancing technology and the introduction of
the Internet to autograph dealers has resulted in increased
discussion and concern regarding feuding professional
authenticators, autograph dealers, and collectors. While
lawsuits and the spread of libelous statements have
occurred, the UACC remains committed to its roots as an
educational organization that promotes the exchange of
ideas and an adherence to its code of ethics. Operating
procedures thusly focus on unifying individuals engaged in
the hobby rather than policing competing dealers or
professionals.
