In the workshop, Digital Clarity Group's Scott Liewehr and Cathy McKnight explored the customer experience management (CEM) Imperative and how it impacts the enterprise within the firewall, and the need to shift from an “inside-out” to “outside-in” focus for how employees work in order to support and drive CEM for their organization. They also analyzed the technologies, skills, and processes that will help employees engage and collaborate, and how to evaluate, select, and assemble the team involved in executing the CEM strategy (internal resources, outside service providers, and vendors).
This document discusses the importance of alignment in digital analytics. It emphasizes establishing roles like actors, influencers, and stakeholders who are aligned around key performance indicators. Actors need to receive the appropriate level and frequency of information to take action. Influencers are those whose actions impact an actor's success even if they are not directly accountable to each other. Stakeholders success depends directly on the actor and they set cascading KPIs. Overall, the document stresses the need for organizational alignment around roles and KPIs in order to take effective action based on analytics.

Building a business from the ground up is a great opportunity to develop amazing content, disrupt, and embrace effective SEO.
But what about established organisations - those with entrenched processes, legal teams, departmentalisation and small marketing teams? In the real world, large businesses don't change direction quickly or easily. Many organisations struggle to develop content strategies, implement technical changes, and embrace modern, integrated, effective SEO not because they don't want to or don't understand the opportunity, but because they can't. It's too big. Too complex. Too hard.
So, as a consultant or in-house practitioner, how do you effect change and move the needle?
We explore some practical, tactical hacks for getting things done in a world which struggles to live up to our expectations.

Service design places users squarely at the centre of its practice, and fulfilling customer needs is the focus of organizations large and small. What happens though, to the people inside the organization, especially at times when efforts are mostly focused on efficiency, simplification and cost reduction? How do organizations change effectively, and organize their people and the work to support change that isn’t merely cosmetic and that results in tangible outcomes, both internal and external? Vision, willingness to depart from management models that are still firmly rooted in the industrial revolution era and understanding of that culture cannot be superimposed, but is the direct result of the conditions of the system in which it develops, are among the elements that contribute to the success of it.

There’s a massive difference between teams that rock and those that just don't. Not only do the teams that rock deliver some phenomenal, off-the-page results, they are a joy to work with and be part of. These teams act like magnets for more amazing people, deliver remarkable value for customers and inspire action in others.

‘Always be Optimising’ was a meetup for digital marketers and product people keen on getting more from their existing traffic. The slide deck holds all presentations from the meetup.
OAC is testing new product features using split testing and cohort analysis to better understand what members want. This revealed that members preferred solo study options over social tools, contrary to the team's assumptions. Regular reporting of experimental results in accessible formats helps the team learn and prioritize development based on what improves member outcomes. Relying only on vanity metrics like total users could mislead the team about the product's sustainability and effectiveness.
In the realm of cybersecurity, offensive security practices act as a critical shield. By simulating real-world attacks in a controlled environment, these techniques expose vulnerabilities before malicious actors can exploit them. This proactive approach allows manufacturers to identify and fix weaknesses, significantly enhancing system security.

Taking AI to the Next Level in Manufacturing.pdfssuserfac0301
Read Taking AI to the Next Level in Manufacturing to gain insights on AI adoption in the manufacturing industry, such as:
1. How quickly AI is being implemented in manufacturing.
2. Which barriers stand in the way of AI adoption.
3. How data quality and governance form the backbone of AI.
4. Organizational processes and structures that may inhibit effective AI adoption.
6. Ideas and approaches to help build your organization's AI strategy.
How information systems are built or acquired puts information, which is what they should be about, in a secondary place. Our language adapted accordingly, and we no longer talk about information systems but applications. Applications evolved in a way to break data into diverse fragments, tightly coupled with applications and expensive to integrate. The result is technical debt, which is re-paid by taking even bigger "loans", resulting in an ever-increasing technical debt. Software engineering and procurement practices work in sync with market forces to maintain this trend. This talk demonstrates how natural this situation is. The question is: can something be done to reverse the trend?

Essentials of Automations: Exploring Attributes & Automation ParametersSafe Software
Building automations in FME Flow can save time, money, and help businesses scale by eliminating data silos and providing data to stakeholders in real-time. One essential component to orchestrating complex automations is the use of attributes & automation parameters (both formerly known as “keys”). In fact, it’s unlikely you’ll ever build an Automation without using these components, but what exactly are they?
Attributes & automation parameters enable the automation author to pass data values from one automation component to the next. During this webinar, our FME Flow Specialists will cover leveraging the three types of these output attributes & parameters in FME Flow: Event, Custom, and Automation. As a bonus, they’ll also be making use of the Split-Merge Block functionality.
You’ll leave this webinar with a better understanding of how to maximize the potential of automations by making use of attributes & automation parameters, with the ultimate goal of setting your enterprise integration workflows up on autopilot.

[OReilly Superstream] Occupy the Space: A grassroots guide to engineering (an...Jason Yip
The typical problem in product engineering is not bad strategy, so much as “no strategy”. This leads to confusion, lack of motivation, and incoherent action. The next time you look for a strategy and find an empty space, instead of waiting for it to be filled, I will show you how to fill it in yourself. If you’re wrong, it forces a correction. If you’re right, it helps create focus. I’ll share how I’ve approached this in the past, both what works and lessons for what didn’t work so well.
