A Non-Linear Search Algorithm for Automatic Measurement System

In a non-linear device under test, the amplifier signal input level is adjusted until the Output Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) fixed at 10%. A convetional method is to vary the input while measuring the THD. However as the characteristics is non-linear, the manual method is time consuming. A Numerical method , Secant Method, was used teh adjustment and control in this real time measurement system in Production.
