1) Eve is sick with cancer and collapses at a birthday party, being rushed to the hospital. 2) At the hospital, the doctor informs Eve that her cancer has spread. Eve struggles with her illness over subsequent weeks. 3) On Christmas Eve, Eve is released from the hospital to spend time at home but passes away peacefully in her sleep on Christmas Day.

Script – A Misunderstanding Dream
Scene 1 – At School
Liam: Hey Eve! What you doing today after school?
Eve: Ah nothing! I have loads of homework to do and I
need help.
Liam: Well don’t worry! I’ll come over and I’ll help you
out.
Eve: Thanks dude
Scene 2 – Eve’s House
Eve: Oh hey Liam!
Liam: Hey! How you feeling?
Eve: Not too bad, I keep getting stomach cramps. I feel
ill.
Liam: You sure I should stay? Cos I might be getting in
your way.
Eve: No no it’s fine. Stay. You still have to help me
with my homework remember?
Liam: All right then. Get the homework out then!
Eve: So, are you coming to daisy’s birthday party
tomorrow?
Liam: I wouldn’t miss it for the world!
Eve: Cool! It’ll be fun!
Scene 3 – Birthday Party
Liam: Hey Eve, do you need help with the icing?
Eve: Yh sure grab a piping bag!
Daisy: Can I see my cake yet?
Eve: Not yet were nearly done!
Eve brings the cake out to the living room while she
loses balance an falls.

Liam: EVA!! Wake up! Can you hear me? (Liam dials 999)
Scene 4 – The Hospital
Eva wakes up.
Eve: Where am I?
Liam: You’re at hospital, you lost balance when you were
carrying the cake and you fell which made you lose
consciousness.
Eve: Really? I’m fine now, shouldn’t I go home now?
Eves Mum: Honey, you’re not okay. You’re very ill. Why
didn’t you tell me that you were feeling ill?
Eve: I am okay. Nothing is wrong with me!
Doctor walks in.
Doctor: I’m sorry to tell you Eve, you’re very sick, the
tumor you had has spread all over your body.
You have cancer.
The room goes silent. Eve’s mum starts to cry loudly.
Liam: Oh gosh. I’m so sorry eve I don’t know what to do
Eve: Can you all leave me alone please? I want to have
some time to my self
Everyone leaves the room
Eve is worried and scared. She thinks that she won’t
survive, as she is very ill.
2hours later Liam comes to the hospital to see how Eve is
doing.
Liam: Hey eve, how you feeling?
Eve: Not too bad, I just have a little headache.
Liam: Did I ever tell you that I love you?
Eve: No. But I feel the same way about you.
Liam: Really? I love you from the moon and back and I
will help you fight this and you will defeat this
illness.

Eve: I couldn’t have asked for a better boyfriend! You
will always be my best friend.
Liam: And you will always be my best friend.
Eve: When I get better we can have a proper date.
Liam: That’s cool with me. All we have to do is wait.
Two days later…
Liam goes back to the hospital to see Eve again but he
realizes that she looks worse than before.
Liam: Hi, Eve. How you feeling today?
Eve: Not really good, my body is aching I feel tired all
the time.
Liam: I hope you get better. I’m not giving up on you.
Eve’s mum: Honey I’m always here for you when you need me
just give me a shout I won’t go anywhere. I don’t want to
lose my little girl.
Doctor walks in =to the room
Doctor: Eve, how are you feeling today?
Eve: Really tired, my back hurts, how do I get rid of it?
Doctor: well you have to keep taking these medications.
They should help your body ease the pains.
Liam: I should be going now; I’m going to miss work.
Liam kisses Eve on the forehead and leaves.
A week later, Eve starts having breathing problems this
causes her lung to collapse leading her to use a
ventilator to help her breathe.
It’s nearly Christmas and Eve wants to go home, she waits
for her mum to call the doctor to see if she will be able
to go home for Christmas. The doctor agrees and she is
then let out of hospital a day before Christmas.
Eve’s house – Christmas day:
3:00pm
Eve: Mum I don’t feel too good…

Eves’ mum: Honey, go and have a lie down. I’ll wake you
up for dinner, were have turkey.
Eve: Okay.
6:36pm
Christmas dinner:
Eve wakes up in time for the family dinner. Everyone is
here and is excited.
Eve’s mum: who wants to open the first present after
dinner?
Everyone shouts and protests.
Once everyone finished their dinner they all go to the
living room to wait and open the Christmas presents.
Present opening:
Eve’s mum and dad walk in with dessert and hand them out.
Daisy: Hey Eve, how you doing?
Eve: Not bad, I can still eat dessert but I still feel
tired.
Daisy: Mum, Eve doesn’t feel well she’s going to sleep.
Eve’s mum: Eve wake up please, don’t you want to see your
presents?
Eve doesn’t answer and passes away in her sleep
peacefully.
