About 20% of generic drugs appear to be highly variable. Because of their highly variability, studies designed to show the bioequivalence of these drugs may require enrolling a large number of subjects. The Reference Scaled Average Bioequivalance (RSABE) approach helps show bioequivalence for highly variable drugs using a typical sample size in order to save money and minimize patient exposure. RSABE can be performed in Phoenix WinNonlni using reusable templates projects and workflows for both the EMA and FDA approaches.

This document summarizes a proposed research project and company called Life Metrics that aims to develop a blood test called BioSpan to predict an individual's remaining lifespan. The research would analyze blood samples and medical records from a large cohort study to identify protein biomarkers correlated with mortality. If successful, BioSpan could be used in financial markets to more accurately assess longevity risk. Life Metrics is seeking $40 million to fund the research and launch commercialization, with projections of over $700 million in annual revenue by year 10 from applications in life insurance, annuities, and other financial planning products.
- IDXG provides molecular diagnostic tests for cancer risk assessment and prognosis.
- Recent accomplishments include new product launches, reimbursement from Aetna for ThyraMir, and achieving approval in New York State.
- The presentation provides financial information, with revenue growing but losses continuing from investments in sales, R&D and administrative expenses.
Big Data in Biomedicine: Where is the NIH HeadedPhilip Bourne
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is taking actions to address the implications of big data for biomedical research and healthcare. These include developing a "Commons" approach to make data findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable. The NIH is also establishing initiatives like the Precision Medicine Initiative to generate large datasets and the Center for Predictive Computational Phenotyping to develop predictive models from electronic health records. Overall, the NIH aims to train a workforce equipped for data science and facilitate open collaboration to realize the potential of big data for improving health outcomes.
How to model longevity and health effect in 3 monthsWenlan Hu
Healthspan analysis is a huge part of longevity study, which is heavily looked at by many aging labs in recent years. The older we grow, our health will be affected accordingly, and this influence what type of compound we use. To better picture what effects compounds brings to us and to extend lifespan as a goal. A three stage compound assessment is developed by IVB to solve this question.

Therapeutics and COVID-19: Living Guideline - World Health Organization (Launched 06 July 2021)
The evidence base for therapeuqcs for COVID-19 is increasing rapidly, and some treatments of proven benefit have emerged. Numerous randomized trials of many drugs are underway to further inform pracqce. This version of the WHO living guideline contains new informaqon and a recommendaqon on interleukin-6 (IL-6) receptor blockers, including both tocilizumab and
sarilumab (1)(2)(3). Publication of the RECOVERY and REMAP-CAP trials addressing IL-6 receptor blockers as a potenqal treatment for COVID-19 triggered this recommendation.
The article discusses how public health laboratories are adapting to new technologies for tuberculosis (TB) testing. At a recent conference, participants debated how to best integrate promising new diagnostic methods like whole genome sequencing while maintaining existing effective testing paradigms. Speakers emphasized the need for laboratories to collaborate and provide accurate, cost-effective information, as well as properly interpret new test results in the context of clinical evidence and conventional test results. Emerging technologies are causing laboratories to reevaluate their testing approaches to make the most of new and existing tools for TB diagnosis and treatment.

The document discusses four paradoxes of managing high growth biotech ventures:
1) Breakthrough intellectual property often comes from outside the target industry or slow-moving organizations.
2) Entrepreneurship requires individual courage but is also a team sport.
3) Financing covers near-term milestones but companies must plan for the long-term.
4) Plans rarely survive but planning is critical to success.

Mercurius is named after the roman god mercurius, the god of trade and science. The planet mercurius is named after the same god. Mercurius is sometimes called hydrargyrum, means ‘watery silver’. Its shine and colour are very similar to silver, but mercury is a fluid at room temperatures. The name quick silver is a translation of hydrargyrum, where the word quick describes its tendency to scatter away in all directions.
The droplets have a tendency to conglomerate to one big mass, but on being shaken they fall apart into countless little droplets again. It is used to ignite explosives, like mercury fulminate, the explosive character is one of its general themes.
