Seasoned Psychiatrist and Academic, Wayne Macfadden, MD, completed his Residency in Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Wayne Macfadden, MD, is also a Fellow in the Philadelphia College of Physicians, and a former Fellow in the American College of Psychiatrists. The American College of Psychiatrists is a non-profit institution founded on May 8, 1963, in St. Louis. It commits to providing continuing education to its members, promoting the most recent breakthroughs in the field, and advocating for the highest standards in psychiatry. College membership is exclusive to competent psychiatrists who have achieved national recognition in clinical practice, academic leadership, research, and teaching. Fellows or members of the College must sponsor new personally familiar members with their work or career. The Board of Regents manages the administrative duties. The Board consists of six officers and nine other board members. The College’s member-driven committees fall under the guidance of the Board. They oversee all professional and business issues of the organization.
