He was ordained as a priest in 1997. Between 1997-2008, he served in various pastoral locations in Nigeria. In 2008, he was commissioned as a military chaplain in the Nigerian Army. As a chaplain, he has participated in peacekeeping missions in Darfur and operations in Nigeria. He is characterized as intelligent, integrated, and responsible, improving spiritual and physical conditions for troops under his command.
