The 9th grade literature classes at Tech High School are planning a field trip to attend a performance of Romeo and Juliet by the Atlanta Shakespeare Company at the New American Shakespeare Tavern. The field trip will take place on March 28th from 9am to 1pm via school busses. Students will need $15 to cover the cost of the ticket and permission forms are due by March 23rd. Electronic devices will not be allowed in the theater.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Cheerio! Ninth Grade Literature students will
soon be starting their Drama unit. An important part of studying
drama involves exposing students to performances of dramatic pieces
in the setting in which they were meant to be enjoyed. The 9th grade Literature classes
have a field trip planned to attend a performance of the classic Shakespeare play,
Romeo and Juliet, which they will also study in class. The details for the field trip are:
Who: 9th Grade Literature students (with four teacher chaperons)
What: Special student performance of Romeo and Juliet by The
Atlanta Shakespeare Company
When: Wednesday, March 28, 2012, 9:00am-1:00pm
*Payment and consent form due by Friday, March 23, 2012
Where: The New American Shakespeare Tavern, downtown Atlanta via Tech busses
How Much: $15* per student. Students may also bring money for optional gift shop purchases.
*This is a special reduced price for student performances. We regret that, due to limited
seating, we are unable to invite parents/guardians to join us on this excursion.
Note: At the request of Shakespeare Tavern, NO camera, radio/iPod, cell phone, or
other electronic device is allowed in the theatre. Any equipment of this kind
will be surrendered to a chaperon and returned at the end of the day.
