2. 起緣 (Origin)
1995 年在台灣高雄由一群心智障礙者
家長為年長憨兒之長期照顧而成立
Initiated & founded by a group of parents
of ID (Intelligent Disable) in 1995 in
Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, for providing
long term care for senior ID.
創新的命名「喜憨兒」去污名化，已成
為台灣心智障礙者之代名詞
Brand new nomenclature “Children Are
Us” – de-categorized and now has
become the pronoun of ID in Taiwan.

使命─開創憨兒生命的尊嚴與喜悅
Mission ─ To guard the dignity of and to bring joy
to ID.
願景─終身教育，終身照顧
Vision ─ To educate ID and provide them with
life-time care .
