Barwa Real Estate announced a series of new projects at its annual general assembly following a $180 million profit surge in 2015. These include initial phases of Madinat Al Mawater and Mustawdaat projects, developing a master plan for Lusail Golf, and completing ongoing projects like Barwa Village. Barwa's portfolio includes developments like Barwa City residential community, Barwa Commercial Avenue mixed-use zones, Barwa Al Sadd luxury towers, and affordable housing complexes Masaken Mesaimeer and Masaken Al Sailiya. The company is also building workers' city Barwa Al Baraha and pursuing tourism projects like Oryx Island and the Gulf Resort.

 Over the course of approximately nine months in 2015, the Qatar-based
property developer Barwa Real Estate realized a 673-million-riyal surge in net
profits (roughly $180 million USD) over performance numbers from 2014.
Following this success, the firm held its annual general assembly with
shareholders to discuss new goals and share its plans for continued growth in
2016.
 At the gathering, Barwa board members announced a series of projects that
the company aims to either complete or launch this year. Initial phases of the
Madinat Al Mawater and the Mustawdaat projects will commence, and Barwa
will develop a master plan for the Lusail Golf project. In addition to these new
developments, multiple ongoing jobs will reach completion and existing ones,

3. Barwa City
 Designed to accommodate more than 25,000
people, Barwa City is a modern mixed-used
residential development with nearly 6,000 two-
and three-bedroom, as well as studio, apartment
units. The community boasts the latest
technological amenities, from satellite television
to high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity. When
completed, the community, which covers 1.35
million square meters, will also contain an
assortment of commercial and municipal
facilities. These include international education
institutions, dining venues, and recreational
centers.

4. Barwa Commercial Avenue
 Located in the southern district of Doha, Barwa Commercial Avenue covers
nearly a million square meters at an estimated cost of 6.5 billion Qatari
riyals. The five zones of this mega civil project are marked by unique
differences in design, and they feature a total of 850 residential units, 475
showrooms, 630 office spaces, and a shopping mall, among other
properties.

5. Barwa Village
 Completed in 2020, Barwa Real Estate’s Barwa Village project quickly
attracted attention from buyers and renters. The 18 complexes that
comprise the village house nearly 1,000 retail units, 96 studio apartments,
and 362 one- or two-bedroom apartments. Perfect for young families,
Barwa Village contains a medical clinic, a shopping center, and a nursery
school.

6. Barwa Al Sadd
 A multitower development, Barwa Al
Sadd offers residents and guests high-
end luxury living in the center of Doha
City, close to the Doha Corniche and the
Doha International Airport. Three office
towers, one of which houses the
headquarters of Barwa Real Estate and its
subsidiaries, top a retail podium boasting
refined brand-name shops. In addition,
the development contains three
residential buildings and a five-star hotel.

7. Masaken Mesaimeer and Masaken Al
Sailiya
 One of two housing projects created with affordability in mind, Masaken
Mesaimeer opened in 2009. The gated residential development features
multiple three-story apartment complexes with roughly 1,000 units.
Masaken Mesaimeer also includes a young children’s center, a
supermarket, and a mosque.
 The companion development to Masaken Mesaimeer, Masaken Al Sailiya
also holds nearly 1,000 residential units. In addition to the two- and three-
bedroom apartments, the community offers comprehensive recreational
amenities, such as a swimming pool and courts for tennis and basketball. A
selection of restaurants and cafes complement multiple playgrounds, and
residents also benefit from a free Wi-Fi area.

8. Barwa Al Doha - Baraya
 The Barwa Al Doha is one of the more ambitious projects that Barwa Real
Estate has undertaken. The dramatically styled development houses a
2,800-vehicle car park and a multilevel shopping mall in the same structure
that houses a five-star hotel and more than 70 serviced apartments. In
addition, Barwa Al Doha contains multiple cinemas and restaurants, a spa,
and a mosque.

9. Barwa Al Baraha
 Spanning a plot of 1.8 million square meters, the Barwa Al Baraha workers’
city can house more than 50,000 laborers in its 64 buildings, and there are
plans to add space for 10,000 more, thereby making it the largest laborers’
accommodation of its kind. The project also includes space for feature 49
car showrooms, auction facilities, and service centers.

10. Oryx Island and the Gulf Resort
 Oryx Island represents a considerable investment in tourism. The firm plans
to build more than 200 private villas on the island, which will only allow
electric vehicles and walking as the transportation modes to eliminate
emissions and congestion. There will also be three five-star hotels, as well
as several floating hotels. Guests at the proposed Tropical Health Club
Hotel can rent yachts and sign up for tours of nearby islands.
 For its Gulf Resort in Abu Samra, Barwa Real Estate aims to build three
hotels in combination with a shopping mall and marina. The resort will
offer breathtaking views of the Arabian Gulf, a waterpark, and an
aquarium. In addition, guests can enjoy working out at the health club, go
horseback riding, or take safari trips through the desert landscape.
