Agenda
4. 4
Most of the telecom markets are mature
Mobile penetration above 100%
ARPU Saturation and overall EBITDA reduction
Fierce competition between players
Native services revenues (VOICE & SMS)
dropping
DATA is the biggest contributor to ARPU
Telecom markets outlook
5. 5
Product diversification is difficult or impossible
Pricing diversification is difficult or impossible
Customer loyalty is low (Number portability?)
OTT vendors are a real threat to MNO/MVNO
Operators must innovate to stay alive

6. 6
MNO/MVNO that provides Network access (SIM)?
or
Mobile terminal vendor that enables certain type of
user experience?
or
The content (OTT application or The Social
network) that provides modern communication
solution ?
Who owns the subscriber?
7. 7
Problems
Subscribers have became more aware about costs
of communication and have learned creative ways
of cost optimization (Skype, Whatsapp, FB).
MNO/MVNO might become a “Dumb pipe”
connecting the subscriber to the content (OTT)
which usually sits in the cloud.
Roaming ??! No way!!! I am using Viber via WIFI
or I take a local SIM card.
8. 8
OTT vendors and their applications have evolved over the
past few years.
Skype, Viber, WhatsApp , Facebook and others , have
managed to significantly improve its functionality and user
experience.
Combined with omnipresence of free WIFI internet access ,
OTT solutions have became a viable alternative to
traditional MNO/MVNO offering.
Problems continue
9. 9
Problems continue
MNO/MVNOs have very little ability to monetize
truly amazing number of NON SIM terminals that
have flooded the world in the recent years
Millions of IOS (Ipad, Ipod) and ANDROID
(Tablets, media players) devices have been
delivered to the world market and are used for
consumption of billions of $ of online content

Security
VIRTUALSOFT SIM platform is deeply integrated into
MNO network (LAN, MSC, HLR, BILLING).
VSIM equipment sits in MNO’s datacenter
Remote management is done via secure VPN
VSIM Platform has no inherent security loopholes
Security is totally under the control of MNO staff
34. 34
VIRTUALSOFT SIM is designed as modular solution
with limitless potential for future expansion
VIRTUALSOFT SIM can be seamlessly integrated
with any other service offered by the MNO/MVNO like
: Mobile money , various VAS, airtime purchase,
Balance Portal, Telco Portal , Promotion portal
Additional services can be presented via new tab
within the VIRTUALSOFTSIM Smart terminal app
Additional features
35. 35
VIRTUALSOFTSIM platform Is designed to be
extremely flexible in terms of operational environment
We are able to do a rapid deployment in a form of a
SOFT LAUNCH/POC (7 days)
Alternatively MNO/MVNO can choose to do a FULL
SCALE deployment from start (30 days)
Migration from SOFT LAUNCH/POC to FULL SCALE
deployment is also possible in the later stage.
Implementation variants
36. 36
Soft Launch/POC– product trial
Existing VIRTUALSOFTSSIM platform can be quickly
deployed for the Soft Launch(SL) /POC - trial and
testing procedure with any Telecom operator
MNO/MVNO would be interconnected with our central
platform for the duration of the SL/POC
VSIM APP would be slightly customized for the MNO
VSIM APP would be accessible via APP stores or via
a direct download link from the MNO/MVNO website
38. 38
Soft Launch/POC– product trial
MNO/MVNO should allocate a numbering range for the
VIRTUALSOFTSIM SL/POC
MNO/MVNO connects to VSIM soft switch via SIP (this will
enable Voice call feature)
MNO/MVNO routes the SL/POC numbering range to the VSIM
SIP Trunk
MNO/MVNO connects to VSSIM SMSC via SMPP (this will
enable SMS feature)
MNO/MVNO routes the SL/POC numbering range on its SMSC
to VSSIM SMSC
39. 39
Soft Launch/POC
In order to keep the POC deployment as simple as possible , we
suggest MNO/MVNO to use our Integrated VIRTUALOFTSSIM
management and billing (M&B) platform for the POC
For Soft Launch/POC - Integration with MNO/MVNO IN & Billing
is possible but it will take some time to setup and test
SL/POC system will have :
IOS and Android app with Audio and Video calls, Instant
Messaging, SMS, MNO/MVNO MSISDN selection and rental ,
Credit upload and transfer, Video message, Doodle, Photo and
location sharing.
40. 40
Full implementation
Full implementation assumes deployment of new instance of
VIRTUALSIM Platform on servers hosted in MNO/MVNO
datacenter.
Maintenance and operations of VIRTUALSOFTSIM platform
can be done by the Operator’s team or can be outsourced to
us
Deep integration with MNO/MVNO IN/Billing system is
possible but not mandatory (depends on MNO/MVNO
preference)
Full implementation system will have complete set of features available at that
moment on the VIRTUALSOFT SIM platform
42. 42
MNO/MVNO Customized branding
VIRTUALOFTSSIM app can be fully aligned with MNO’s brand
graphical guidelines – as per MNO/MVNO request
Due to implementation time line constrains SOFT LAUNCH/POC
will assume partially customized APP. Full customization will be
achieved in the later stage.
FULL IMPLEMENTATION assumes fully customized APP as per
MNO/MVNO instructions and requirements.
