The document investigates the effect of morphology on the photocatalytic activity of titanium dioxide (TiO2) synthesized through hydrothermal treatment of titanium nitride with different acids. Various characterization techniques were used to analyze the products obtained by varying acid type and concentration, calcination temperature, and reaction time. It was found that TiO2 prepared using nitric acid showed the best activity for visible light dye degradation while maintaining a robust morphology. The goal is to improve the photoresponse of TiO2 in the visible light region through dopants and investigate its effect on photocatalysis.
