 Who are the subjects of the kingdom of God?—all those who do His will. They
have righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. The members of Christ's
kingdom are the sons of God, partners in His great firm. The elect of God are a
chosen generation, a peculiar people, a holy nation, to show forth the praises
of Him who hath called them out of darkness into His marvelous light. They are
the salt of the earth, the light of the world. They are living stones, a royal
priesthood. They are in copartnership with Jesus Christ. These are they that

USE THE WHOLE MOUNTAIN?

 In concluding this narrative, I would say that we are living in a most
solemn time. In the last vision given me, I was shown the startling fact
that but a small portion of those who now profess the truth will be
sanctified by it and be saved. Many will get above the simplicity of
the work. They will conform to the world, cherish idols, and become
spiritually dead. The humble, self-sacrificing followers of Jesus will pass
on to perfection, leaving behind the indifferent and lovers of the

 “…I have stated before them that, from what was shown me, but a small
number of those now professing to believe the truth would eventually be
saved—not because they could not be saved, but because they would not
be saved in God's own appointed way. The way marked out by our divine
Lord is too narrow and the gate too strait to admit them while grasping the
world or while cherishing selfishness or sin of any kind. There is no room for
these things; and yet there are but few who will consent to part with them,
that they may pass the narrow way and enter the strait gate.” 2T 445.2

 “…Many, I saw, were flattering themselves that they were good Christians, who
have not a single ray of light from Jesus. They know not what it is to be renewed
by the grace of God. They have no living experience for themselves in the things
of God. And I saw that the Lord was whetting His sword in heaven to cut them
down. Oh, that every lukewarm professor could realize the clean work that God is
about to make among His professed people! Dear friends, do not deceive
yourselves concerning your condition. You cannot deceive God. Says the True
Witness: “I know thy works.” The third angel is leading up a people, step by step,

 In the last days of this earth's history, God's covenant with His commandment-
keeping people is to be renewed. “In that day will I make a covenant for them
with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping
things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out
of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely. And I will betroth thee unto
Me forever; yea, I will betroth thee unto Me in righteousness, and in judgment,
and in loving-kindness, and in mercies. I will even betroth thee unto Me in
faithfulness: and thou shalt know the Lord. PK 299.1

 PROPHETS AND KINGS 19, 713
 The children of Israel were to occupy all the territory which God appointed them.
Those nations that rejected the worship and service of the true God were to be
dispossessed… As the numbers of Israel increased, they were to enlarge their borders
until their kingdom should embrace the world. PK 19.1
 That which God purposed to do for the world through Israel, the chosen nation, He
will finally accomplish through His church on earth today… Never has the Lord been
without true representatives on this earth who have made His interests their own.
These witnesses for God are numbered among the spiritual Israel, and to them will be
fulfilled all the covenant promises made by Jehovah to His ancient people. PK 713.1
