Christie Stalcup was a TMC member with Central City Community Outreach Programs in Los Angeles, CA. During her time with Central City Christie worked intensely with young children in an array of academic and extracurricular activities. Her final project is a detailed blueprint on how to facilitate one of Central City's most important activities, an annual trip to Central City's executive director's home in in Arleta, CA. This event is one of the few times that students at the site, their parents, volunteers, and executives from Central City get the opportunity to bond with one another and celebrate the progress that the children at the sites have made with the help of TMC members. This projects details every part of the planning process and discusses the impact that this activity has on the moral and growth of the children at the site and TMC members alike.

Lynda Southard from Cajun Area Agency on Aging will collect non-perishable food items to help feed elderly transitioning to meal programs. Attendees are encouraged to bring marketing guests and door prizes.

Team UCS T organized a food bank donation drive in February that was very successful in collecting donations for the local food bank. The food bank helps everyday people in the local community who may be struggling with hunger due to issues like unemployment or unexpected bills while living on a low income. In June, the team plans to get together for team building activities to welcome new apprentices Daniel and Brooklyn. An upcoming team building event was voted on and the winning suggestion was a "Gin' Day event, with the date and venue still to be confirmed.

On November 17, 2015 the James Mott Community Assistance Program provided food boxes to 2,021 households at 5 locations in Fairfax County. They distributed 20,000 pounds of fresh produce and additional non-perishable donations for 2,000 people with the help of 58 volunteers. The program aims to provide self-sufficiency support and ensure healthy lives for all residents.

Volunteers from the St. Croix Valley Restorative Justice Program and the University of Wisconsin-River Falls organized a cigarette butt cleanup event on the university's campus. They recruited 15 volunteers who picked up over 5,500 cigarette butts in one hour of cleaning. The volunteers were thanked for their efforts with treats after the event at a local bank, and the large amount of discarded cigarettes removed represents 30 years of lost human life.

Our service project team packed and delivered "back sacks" containing nutritious prepackaged food items to local schools for distribution to children over the weekend. The sacks were delivered on Friday afternoons to provide nourishment to children who may not have enough to eat at home. Our team plans to continue volunteering regularly at Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana to help in their efforts to fight hunger in central Indiana.

The criminal justice club at a university will host Christmas parties for the children of incarcerated mothers at two correctional facilities. The club will accept donations of new unwrapped toys and cash to give as presents to the children at the parties. The parties will include food and games for the children, and the club's adviser will dress as Santa. The club aims to let the children know they are not defined by their mothers' crimes and wants them to enjoy the holidays.
