The document discusses the diverse landscape of doctoral education in Europe. It notes that doctoral education serves to prepare candidates for a variety of careers through original research and the acquisition of research and transferable skills. Institutions establish various parallel structures for doctoral education, including doctoral schools and programs, based on disciplinary, faculty, and university-level organization. Key strategic priorities for doctoral education address both structural questions and broader policy issues to serve the needs of doctoral candidates, institutions, and external stakeholders.

FROM GRADUATE SCHOOL TO PROFESSIONAL LIFE PREPARING A LONG JOURNEYGenoveva Vargas-Solar
Long studies and particularly PhD, imply being ready to perform an exciting journey that leads to unexpected places. It is a personal experience that imposes courage, patience and discipline but above all it is a human experience that calls for intellectual ambition, and humility. As any important personal adventure, the journey must be thoroughly prepared beforehand according to one’s own expectations, objectives and motivation. Of course, as any plan, it will be adjusted as events come up and as the individual discovers new opportunities and weaves them with a personal life.
This talk points out, as a travel guide, practical information about things that should be considered during PhD for preparing ones own personal strategy to have access to the « best » opportunities when planning and starting a professional career.

The University of Vienna is a long-standing university founded in 1365 with over 15 faculties and over 72,000 students. It has undergone reforms to align with the Bologna Process, introducing bachelor's and master's degrees across its programs to improve graduates' mobility in Europe. Key aspects of the reform included developing an institutional strategy and consensus around concepts like learning outcomes, credits based on student workload, and modularization of curricula. A Bologna Office was established to support curriculum development activities led by faculties, provide guidance and coordination, and manage the phased implementation of reforms across different subject areas.

Alexander Dubynin
Alexander Dubynin

Alexander Dubynin
1. The document discusses analytical theories for freak waves and wave breaking on ocean surfaces, which are rare catastrophic events.
2. It presents equations to model wind-driven seas and water waves, including the Hasselmann kinetic equation and solutions for energy spectra.
3. The theory proposes that wave-wave interactions are the dominant mechanism and explores the possibility of self-similar solutions with power law dependencies for energy and characteristic frequency over time.

This document provides an overview of wound healing, its functions, stages, mechanisms, factors affecting it, and complications.
A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.

How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.
