Smal Scale Research Project-
The three films Full Metal Jacket, Platoon, and Hamburger Hill brought the realities of the Vietnam War to cinema audiences in the late 1980s. Platoon was the first to depict the true horrors soldiers faced in Vietnam. Full Metal Jacket focused on transforming ordinary men into killers through boot camp. Hamburger Hill showed the human cost of battle through depicting a specific deadly engagement. Together these films provided a more accurate portrayal of the Vietnam War experience than earlier propaganda films.
Evaluation of my media magazine new one
My media product challenges conventions by having a simple front cover layout unlike similar magazines. However, it also follows conventions used by some magazines. My contents page challenges conventions by presenting articles on shards of broken glass rather than in a structured list. My double page spread follows conventions by using techniques like a drop cap and pull quote. Feedback indicates people like the images but find the text hard to read, so changing the font could improve readability.

- 1. My music magazine is called Thrashed and it is a magazine about heavy metal. The unique selling point of my magazine is that it doesn’t focus on one sub genre but instead focuses on the full genre. The house style of my magazine will be rough edged, it won’t be air brushed and smooth, it will be like am underground punk style. The articles won’t be formal, the writing style will represent the age of the target audience. The articles in the magazine will be varied and will range the in the contents of the articles.
