1) The document outlines the leadership and activities of the Holy Family High School Ex-Students' Association for the year 2003-2004.

2. A REPORT ON THE ACTIVITIES OF THE HOLY FAMILY
EX-STUDENTS ASSOCIATION IN THE YEAR 2003 – 2004
The Holy Family High School Ex Students Association continued it’s efforts as a bridge between
the School and it’s Alumni in the Year 2003-2004.
The Association had earlier drawn up its Constitution and had pledged to meet at least once a
month, on the third Sunday of each month at 10.30 a.m. in the School Library. Over the period
August 2003 – July 2004, this Association has met a record 10 times, and as on June 30TH 2004
has 1140 registered members the latest entrants being:
1.0 195 from batch of 2002-03
2.0 178 from batch of 2003-04 English Medium and
3.0 100 from batch of 2003-04 Marathi Medium
The Ex Students Association would like to place on record the unstinting support given by
Fr. Swamy (Principal) and Fr Jude (Vice-Principal) throughout the past year.
Some of the highlights of the Association are as follows:
Joe Nathan (1973-74 batch) was elected as President of the Association. Fr. Francis Swamy, as
the Principal of Holy Family High School, is the Ex-officio Chairman of the Association and Fr.
Jude, as Vice Principal is a permanent member of the Core Committee as also is the Headmistress
Sister Shaila. Mrs. Colette who retired as Vice-Principal continues as a member of the Core
Committee.
The Core Committee Office Bearers elected were:
Joe Nathan – President, Titmus Rodrigues – Vice President, Sandeep Narayan – Secretary, Vipul
Waghela – Treasurer, Vicky Lingeria – Jt. Secretary, Ganesh Krishnan – Jt. Treasurer.
The other Core committee active members were Mr John Neelankavil, Mr Pawan Kumar Pruthi,
Francis Cardoza, Lakhbir Singh, Mr Cyril, Mrs Sheel Bhalla, Mr Anand Pejawar.
Events held during the Year 2002-03 are summarized as follows:
• Inter School Elocution Competition
Mr. Pawan Kumar had initiated the concept of arranging an Inter School elocution competition
on September 7th, 2003. The topics were given to the students such as “Time & Tide wait for
no man”. B K Padmaben from the Bramhakumari’s was invited as a Judge alongwith Lion
_____________________- from the Lions Club of Marol and _________________________
Various schools from the nearby areas participated such as Divine Child, Marol Academy,
Bombay Cambridge, Canossa, Domnic Savio, St. Xaviers (Poonam Nagar), Holy Family etc.
Spot prizes were given to the Audience and their Teachers who had come to see the event.
These prizes were sponsored by Dr Shekhar Algundi. The Winners Rolling Trophy was
collected by Our lady of Health School, Sahar
• Vocational Guidance Program
A total of 48 students had taken the Vocational Guidance test arranged by the Ex-students
Association along with the final one-to-one counseling session which was conducted by the
Counselors.
3. • Appointment of Internal Auditor (M/s Chogmal & Co)
Mr Chintan Shah of M/s. Chogmal & Co was appointed Internal Auditors of the Holy Family
High School Ex-students Association for the 2nd year in succession.
• Adopt- a- Child Scheme & Nutrition Program
This scheme has been running successfully. The Nutrition programme continues throughout
the school term. Also, the total amount expended on the Nutrition Program for the period
2002-03 was Rs. xxxxxx wherein there were almost 35 students under this scheme.
• Annual Re-union Day (February 14th 2004)
The Annual Re-union day coincided with the Valentines Day celebration on Feb 14th 2004.
The special attraction for the Annual Re-union day being the “Tele Match” games organized
by the Association.
• Retirement of Mrs. Maggie Pimenta (Secondary School Teacher)
Mrs. Maggie Pimenta (Secondary School Teacher) retired during the year 2003-04 and
Titmus Rodrigues had attended the same as Vice-President of the Association. Accordingly,
a Cheque of Rs. 1675/- was presented to Mrs. Maggie on behalf of the Ex-Students
Association.
• Alumni Website
Efforts were made during the year to launch the Alumni site with the cost of the same being
worked out. Ultimately, it was decided to get it done thru the Designer of the School Website
and provide links to the same.
• Database CD (Collection of Photographs and Addresses of passing batch on CD’s)
The Ex-students Association resolved to maintain a Database of the passing out batch of the
Students of Std. Xth. Accordingly; CD’s containing the Class Group Photographs and the
Teachers alongwith the names and Addresses of the Students was distributed to the Std Xth
students during the Farewell ceremony.
• Registration process of the Ex-Students Association
This process is still underway – the registration forms have been completed and have been
handed over for submission.
