This document provides a tour of a vacation rental home located at 42 Turtle Bay Circle in Southwest Florida. It describes the amenities included with the rental, such as a full kitchen, living room with fireplace, two bedrooms each with a private bath, and outdoor spaces like a lanai with hot tub, backyard, and dock on a creek. The community is described as quiet without through traffic and offering nearby parks, swimming, tennis, hiking trails, and water access to the Gulf of Mexico. The goal is to welcome guests and help them relax during their stay.
1. Welcome to 42 Turtle Bay Circle. Pull into the carport and make yourselves at home. The entrance is just on your left. Straight in front of the car is the entrance to the shed where tools and hurricane shutters are kept, but it’s unlikely you’ll need anything in here… you’re here to relax. We love it here because the community is very quiet – with no through traffic – right near Oyster Creek Community Park with swimming pool, tennis courts, and hiking trails. We’ve even got a community boat launch (free) onto Oyster Creek where you can canoe or boat 5 minutes to the intercoastal and the Gulf of Mexico. Of course, there’s nothing preventing you from casting a line in the water from the dock to see what’s biting.
2. As you enter, you’ll immediately find a place to kick off your shoes right next to the laundry facilities that are sure to come in handy throughout your stay. Continuing in, you could turn left to the bedrooms, but this time we’re going to bear right toward the kitchen, dining, and living rooms.
3. You’ll find that the full kitchen has all the amenities with the added advantage that you’re not at home. From a quick breakfast of coffee & bagel to the extravagance of a full meal to entertain guests, you’ll find the kitchen complete and easily accessible to either the dining room or the eating area on the lanai. Strolling into the living room, you’ll immediately notice the fireplace and may even consider it somewhat out of place. After all, this is SW Florida, right??? But even here, the comfort of an indoor fire can chase away the occasional coldspell. And weather aside, the ambiance of a glowing hearth casts an added hue to a romantic evening.
4. You’ll find plenty of comfortable seating and indirect lighting for yourselves and guests throughout the living room, and an ample sound system for watching a movie, the big game, or just kicking back. Speaking of guests, the couch also opens into a queen size bed.
5. Of course you’ll find one of the full baths just down the hall from the living room. The other is located in the master bedroom suite.
6. The master bedroom can make a stay of any length a delight. A full length closet provides more than enough room for any hanging clothes as well as storage space for luggage; helping you to stow things out of site and truly relax for your stay. The King size bed invites you to rest after a day of exploring the Southwest Florida coast and prepare for another day of enjoying Florida your way. The suite, complete with dresser, highboy, vanity, and ample room in the bedside units welcomes you and eliminates the feeling of “just visiting”. The 2nd full bath completes the suite.
7. Warm oak furnishings add to the comfort of the master suite and a spacious master bath gives you room to spread out without feeling cramped.
8. The second bedroom adjacent to the master suite currently doubles as an office. This way there’s always private space to conduct business; whether an occasional occurrence or scheduled periodically to facilitate a longer stay. In either case, a private space allows you to close the door and get back to the business of being in Florida. But let’s leave work, and leave the indoors altogether for a bit and appreciate the smell of the clean, moist, Florida air. After all, we probably didn’t come down here to sit inside. We probably could have done that somewhere north of the Mason Dixon line. First stop, let’s head out back to the lanai…
9. The large lanai encloses the outdoor eating area as well as the hot tub/spa and makes a perfect place to relax, eat al fresco, or soak overlooking a secluded back yard. The spa has been prepared ahead of your stay, and will be at the optimum temperature for your enjoyment. And what could be more delightful than a light lunch shared outdoors? How about enjoying it within the lanai and eliminating any pesky bugs?
10. We’re getting bold now, and actually venturing outside. Still, after sharing the outdoors all day, it’s nice to have our own little slice of outdoors our way… in privacy. The privacy of the back yard provides the serenity to just read a book amidst the native Florida landscaping, enjoy a glass of wine, or warm yourselves on a cool evening under the stars by the heat of the Chiminea.
11. And a private walk through the garden brings us back around front were we can continue exploring the grounds, the nearby parks and trails, and this quiet little corner of Florida that still feels like the Florida of old. Now that we’ve checked out our home base, let’s see what the area has to offer…
