The Armored Knight is an armored vehicle that provides target acquisition and fire support for combat teams. It replaces older vehicles and operates as part of brigade reconnaissance, locating targets for ground and air strikes with precision. Seated three, it is based on an Armored Security Vehicle platform for survivability and maneuverability, and includes equipment for navigation, sensors, targeting, and communications. The Army has begun production to replace Knight vehicles and will deliver and field units to several divisions between 2007-2009.
