National Alliance to End Homelessness

The document discusses a partnership between the Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County and Building Changes to implement a homeless navigator program. The program aims to better align the public workforce system and homeless services system to improve employment outcomes for homeless individuals. The navigator program provides employment support and helps connect homeless residents of two transitional housing sites to workforce development services. While the program scope was smaller than planned and faced challenges in enrolling clients, it has helped train staff to better serve homeless jobseekers and improved collaboration between workforce and homeless services systems.
