3-D Geometric Gameµs
The Genihex board was designed white this games in mind and is not part of the basic straight line games.
Think multi players, multi dimensional, teams of players and combined playing boards, there is on limits! The players select
a geometrical shape to play, we provided a few to get you started. Players than use coloured beads to form the shape on
the 3-D Genihex board in any dimension.
Rules:
1. All the players or teams select a shape to play, for example the players may decide to form Rectangles.
2. Every player chooses a colour and takes all the beads from the board.
3. You decide who starts and then take turns to place one bead on the board, playing in a clockwise direction.
4. The object is to complete the selected shape in your colour, while preventing the other players from doing similar.
The first player or team to complete the selected shape Wins. Keep score and take turns to start the next game.
The selected shape can be formed any place on the board, corresponding to the diagrams.
Rectangles For 3 or more players and teams
Rectangle Shape Horizontal Level 1 - 5 Vertical Level 1
You might argue that there should be
more dimensional options and you are
right. We excluded a Z-Diagonal to
make the game more interesting and
fair.
Diagonal Level 1 - 2 Upright-Diagonal Level 1 - 2
Note: The diagram’s caption indicates the dimensional spheres, Level 1 - 2 points to the elevation. For example the
Rectangle, Horizontal Level 1 - 5 can be elevated to level 2, 3, 4 and 5 (playing 5 beads high). Normally we cannot elevate
the Vertical Rectangle (you may elevate it by using longer pins). The Diagonal and Upright-Diagonal can both be elevated
to level 2.
Remember all the basic games or variations may by played, by using the different shapes or patterns (see Basic Variations).
