Overview:
Our downtown Montreal major international Financial client is looking for many more (10+) 3 + year solid C++
Developers to join their new team developing financial products (we have placed 3 already). All 12 month contracts.
Things you need to have:
The person will be able to handle competing demands including both tactical and strategic initiatives, manage their
own work to aggressive deadlines and work within a globally distributed team. The role will offer a good opportunity
for those looking to make a difference to a growing group in a major business unit of this major Financial organization.
Skills Required
• Excellent C / C++ coding and R&D skills (minimum 2-4 years writing production code)
• Excellent communication skills, technology leadership aptitude is a plus
Keen problem solving sense (Mathematics and analytical background), with design and implementation
experience to back it up
Deep knowledge of data structures and algorithms, you also love to solve complex software engineering
problems
Linux proficiency (ie. shell scripting, process management... not administration or pure development)
Independent worker while still a team player and global collaborator
Full life project cycle, source control, testing, automation. Agile and continuous integration are a plus
It would be great if you also had:
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python and/or Perl would be ideal (not required)
• Knowledge of financial technologies (FIX) or trading systems a plus
• Intelligent, creative, results-oriented
What you will be doing:
Developing customized financial products and enterprise tiered applications for the Financial Company on a large
team.
