Endangered animals are species that are threatened with extinction. The IUCN maintains a list of endangered species from around the world, showing that endangered animals are a global problem related to ecosystem degradation from human activities like pollution, overhunting, habitat loss, and climate change. While efforts have been made over the years to protect endangered species through refuges, hunting laws, and conservation laws, human activities starting long ago are largely to blame for putting many species at risk of disappearing. To help endangered animals, people need to become more aware of how their everyday actions like littering and land use can negatively impact wildlife populations and protect the planet and species that live on it.
Brazil and rain forest
Brazil has pursued economic growth through industries like steel, oil, and agriculture, which has led to deforestation of the Amazon rainforest. The rainforest is incredibly biodiverse and home to many indigenous tribes, but it is being cleared rapidly for development. This is detrimental to the environment and local populations. Efforts are needed to promote sustainable development and conservation of the Amazon rainforest.

Biodiversity in the rainforest

Tropical rainforests occur near the equator, providing a hot and wet climate for most of the year. However, rainforests can also be found in other locations like New Zealand, which has temperate rainforests due to its cooler climate. A rainforest is a community of plants and animals that includes trees, shrubs, herbs, mosses, ferns, insects and other animals living together. The plant life in rainforests is made up of four distinct layers - the emergent layer with the tallest trees reaching 30-50 meters, the canopy layer forming a continuous cover 20-30 meters above the ground, the understory layer of younger trees and shrubs, and the forest floor
