I. Jesus teaches the man about obedience to God's commandments in order to gain eternal life. When the man says he has kept all the commandments, Jesus tells him to sell his possessions, give to the poor, and follow him to be perfect. The man leaves sad because he was wealthy.
II. Jesus tells his disciples it is hard for the rich to enter heaven. When asked who can be saved, Jesus says all things are possible with God. He promises the disciples rewards for following him including sitting on thrones judging the tribes of Israel.
III. Jesus teaches about being content in all situations and relying on God, not wealth, which is uncertain. One cannot serve both God and money.

Mark 12: 29-31
29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[e] 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[f] 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[g] There is no commandment greater than these.”
The way of the cross is a commitment. Not the typical 21st century American commitment - a "unto death" kind of commitment. It is also a way of reconciliation. God used the cross to reconcile Himself to mankind. According to Paul, the only reason we have to boast is in the cross (Gal. 6:14).
Last week we said everyone is welcome in the kingdom of God yet Jesus often makes distinctions about who's in it and warns of the perils of missing it. Are you in God's kingdom? This may be the most important question you've ever asked yourself.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
