DISADVANTAGES
📌 Many organizations have found it difficult to persuade sales
people to enter data into the system. For this reason, many
have questioned the value of the investment. Recent
developments have embedded sales process systems that give
something back to the seller within the CRM screens. Because
these systems help the sales person plan and structure their
selling in the most effective way they give a reason to use the
CRM.
ENCOURAGE USE
How to create a
lead in
salesforce:
STEP 1.
📌 Sign into your
Salesforce
account.
STEP 2.
📌 Go to the “Leads”
tab, which will be
toward the left hand
side of your
horizontal options for
your Salesforce
account.
STEP 3.
📌 Go to the
business
account with
which the lead
is associated.
STEP 4.
📌 Click the “New
Contact” button
above the list of
current contacts.
STEP 5.
📌 Fill in all the
information you
know.
STEP 6.
📌 Press the
“SAVE” button at
the top of the
page in order to
add the contact
into the database.
HOW TO CREATE AN EMAIL TEMPLATE
IN SALESFORCE
📌 The San Francisco-based software company
Salesforce provides Customer Relationship
Management (CRM) for businesses by
subscriptions. Salesforce's CRM allow you to keep
tract of contacts, conversations and other
information related to business account.
STEP 1.
📌 Go to
https://login.salesforce.com
in a web browser.
This article will tell you how to create
an emails template in Salesforce.
STEP 2.
📌Sign into your
Salesforce account.
📌Use custom domain.
STEP 3.
📌 Click on the
small arrow next
to your username.
STEP 4.
📌Click My Settings.
It’s in the drop-down
menu below your
username.
📌If you are using
Salesforce Lightning,
click Setup.
STEP 5.
Click Email. It’s in
the sidebar menu to
the left. This
expands the email
options in the
sidebar.
STEP 6.
📌 Click Email Templates.
It’s in the expanded
options below “Email” in
the sidebar to the left.
📌 If you are using
Salesforce Lightning, click
Classic Email Templates.
STEP 7.
📌 Click New Template. It’s
the above the list of email
templates in the main
section of the screen. There
are probably a number of
templates that the company
has created already. Some
can be edited and some may
be protected from editing.
STEP 8.
📌 Choose the type of email
you would like to create and
click next. Most likely your
options are to create a
simple Text email, an HTML
email, an HTML email that
includes a letterhead, a
Visual Force email or an
email without letterhead.
STEP 9.
📌 Click Letterhead
Creation if you have
chosen an email with
letterhead. This will
give you a number of
visual layouts for you
letterhead.
• To create a new letterhead, click New Letterhead.
• Click the checkbox next to Available for use.
• Type a label and a unique name for the letterhead and
click Save.
• Use the options to edit the header, body, and footer.
• Click Save when you are finished editing the
letterheads.
• Click Email Templates to return by the email templates
menu and click New Template again.
STEP 10.
📌 Click the checkbox
image titled Windows

to “ Available For Use “,
This saves the email
template for later use.
STEP 11.
📌 Type your email
template’s name. Use
the text box labeled “
Email template name”
to type a name for the
template.
STEP 12.
📌 Type a unique name
for your template. Use
the text box labeled
“Template Unique
Name” to type a name
for the email. The name
you choose cannot be
assigned to any other
template.
STEP 13 .
📌 Choose a letterhead
and layout option. Use
the drop-down menus
next to “Letterhead”
and “Layout” to select
letterhead and the
layout for the email
template.
STEP 14.
📌 Type a subject
for your email. Use
the text box labeled
“Subject” to add a
subject to your
email.
STEP 15.
📌 Type your email
message. To do this, click
the text boxes and type
your message. You will
need to type in a
greeting, a body of your
email and a signature, as
well as any other
important things.
STEP 16.
📌 Select the “Merge Fields” values
below the formatting toolbar.
Salesforce merge fields allow you to
define something that you would like
to be personalized for each person
and it creates a code that you will
place in your template. When the
email is sent out, it will populate
those fields with values in the
contact’s information page.
STEP 17.
📌Click Save. This saves your
email template for future use.
📌To edit or delete your email
templates, click Setup in the
drop-down menu below your
username. Select your
template under "My
Templates." Select "Edit" or
"Del" to edit or delete,
respectively.

  • 14. STEP 4. 📌Click My Settings. It’s in the drop-down menu below your username. 📌If you are using Salesforce Lightning, click Setup.
  • 15. STEP 5. Click Email. It’s in the sidebar menu to the left. This expands the email options in the sidebar.
  • 16. STEP 6. 📌 Click Email Templates. It’s in the expanded options below “Email” in the sidebar to the left. 📌 If you are using Salesforce Lightning, click Classic Email Templates.
  • 17. STEP 7. 📌 Click New Template. It’s the above the list of email templates in the main section of the screen. There are probably a number of templates that the company has created already. Some can be edited and some may be protected from editing.
  • 18. STEP 8. 📌 Choose the type of email you would like to create and click next. Most likely your options are to create a simple Text email, an HTML email, an HTML email that includes a letterhead, a Visual Force email or an email without letterhead.
  • 19. STEP 9. 📌 Click Letterhead Creation if you have chosen an email with letterhead. This will give you a number of visual layouts for you letterhead.
  • 20. • To create a new letterhead, click New Letterhead. • Click the checkbox next to Available for use. • Type a label and a unique name for the letterhead and click Save. • Use the options to edit the header, body, and footer. • Click Save when you are finished editing the letterheads. • Click Email Templates to return by the email templates menu and click New Template again.
  • 21. STEP 10. 📌 Click the checkbox image titled Windows 10 regchecked.png next to “ Available For Use “, This saves the email template for later use.
  • 22. STEP 11. 📌 Type your email template’s name. Use the text box labeled “ Email template name” to type a name for the template.
  • 23. STEP 12. 📌 Type a unique name for your template. Use the text box labeled “Template Unique Name” to type a name for the email. The name you choose cannot be assigned to any other template.
  • 24. STEP 13 . 📌 Choose a letterhead and layout option. Use the drop-down menus next to “Letterhead” and “Layout” to select letterhead and the layout for the email template.
  • 25. STEP 14. 📌 Type a subject for your email. Use the text box labeled “Subject” to add a subject to your email.
  • 26. STEP 15. 📌 Type your email message. To do this, click the text boxes and type your message. You will need to type in a greeting, a body of your email and a signature, as well as any other important things.
  • 27. STEP 16. 📌 Select the “Merge Fields” values below the formatting toolbar. Salesforce merge fields allow you to define something that you would like to be personalized for each person and it creates a code that you will place in your template. When the email is sent out, it will populate those fields with values in the contact’s information page.
  • 28. STEP 17. 📌Click Save. This saves your email template for future use. 📌To edit or delete your email templates, click Setup in the drop-down menu below your username. Select your template under "My Templates." Select "Edit" or "Del" to edit or delete, respectively.
