• Today, we decided the topic area for our
documentary; mobile phones. In particular,
we decided to focus on whether they are a
necessity or a luxury. Our initial ideas are
to use an exploratory style of documentary,
similar to “Supersize Me.”
• One of our main ideas at this point in time is
to use a video diary similar to “Supersize
Me,” showing the effect of mobile phone
withdrawal and perhaps any benefits; this
will be similar to Morgan Spurlock and his
case study into the effect of McDonald’s,
etc.

• At this point in time we are also very
nervous about how the production of our
documentary will go; in particular, we are
worried when it comes to editing, as we feel
none of us have this as a strong area of our
skills.
• Additionally, I personally am concerned
with the actual filming aspect of the
documentary, as extensive organisation is
required, and I feel this a poor area for
myself. I will most likely struggle with this,
but I think our group will pull together to
overcome this.
