Introduction
20/20 TeleOptics is a Telecom Instruments provider in the telecommunication Industry in
the twin isle of Trinidad and Tobago. This profile presents a summarized overview of our
history, vision, mission, objectives, strategy and core values.
An encapsulation of our Structure, HSE, Shared value, Staff, customers and
competencies are also presented.
Brief history
Every part of the telecommunications ecosystem showed powerful potential for
continued core growth as well as opportunities for expansion, and businesses and
consumers both will ultimately benefit in Trinidad and Tobago. This forecast gave
birth to 20/20 TeleOptics Limited. It is the brain child of husband and wife team of Jason
and Maltie Cowie, who have been working in the telecommunication industry for over
twenty (20) years. Together they both envision the growth of the fiber optic phenomena
of the telecommunication industry, with Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) taking the
leadership role in the Caribbean basin and in central and South America. The
company’s principle activities involve the sale, maintenance, and repair of
telecommunications equipment, devices and tools.
The founders and company have worked alongside many large, medium and small
sized contractors in the industry as subcontractors and advisors. This include most recent
work done, over the last two years, with Lalla & G’s General Contractors Limited
(L.G.G.C.L), whose core business is Building Construction, Civil Works, Installing and
Maintaining Telecommunication Equipment, Rigging, Electrical Installation, Grounding
and Solar Engineering (Thermal and Photo Voltaic).
Vision
The founders both passionately envision the organization accordingly: To be the
number one provider of high value, high quality fiber optic solutions to
telecommunication operators locally, regionally and internationally. These scalable
solutions will have unparalleled support to ensure flexibility and to meet and exceed
customer expectations

Mission
The major mission is to become the preferred supplier of Telecommunications and Fiber
Optic Products, Civil/Cable works, Maintenance and Construction services within the
Caribbean.
Objectives
Our firm is designed to meet the following objectives:
• Developing 20/20 TeleOptics Ltd. to become the premier industrial expert in fibre
optic technologies and applications as well as holding a top level customer
service reputation, particularly in the western hemisphere.
• Bringing high quality products to the market and becoming the lowest cost
provider and leader of fibre optic equipment sales and unified products within
five years.
• To have the best and most responsive customer service by the end of year one

• To be the forefront in fiber optics training and at the same time to bridge the gap
between knowledge, skills and abilities and to be recognised as the best and to
gain mastery skills as quick as possible through certification and qualification in
all areas of fiber optics including safety, tools, equipment, devices etc
• To document necessary and important occurrence so as to efficiently function
and maximise productivity and at the same time provide a return/feedback for
certification, training, local research which feeds into providing the best solution
to our customers.
Strategy
The organizations adopt a generic Cost Leadership Strategy. This underpinned by
following justification, since 20/20 Optics is the market leader:
• Increase profits by reducing costs, while charging industry-average prices.
• 24hr outside plant construction, maintenance, troubleshooting & repairs
services that we respond to any fiber breakdown within an hour throughout
Trinidad and Tobago.

Use of teams located and positioned in four major districts on the island of
Trinidad and two response crews for the island of Tobago.
Use of fully equipped bucket trucks with cable towing abilities
Certified and qualified all round cable construction fiber technicians in
placing, splicing and testing
Local research in spectrum analysis (base on usability, functionality and
problems faced on the local Digicel network in Trinidad and Tobago and
the Region by extension)
• Increase market share through charging affordable prices, while still making
a reasonable profit on each sale because you've reduced costs.
• Create an entry barrier to new entrants.

SAFETY (HSE)
We at 2020TeleOptics as a conscientious service provider, we are committed to
people, safety and the environment. Consequently, our HSE goals and objectives are
outlined in our Health, Safety and the Environment (HSE) Policy document attached for
your convenience (see appendix 1).
Currently, we are making preparation to obtain SAFE TO WORK IN TRINIDAD AND
TOBAGO (STOW) Certification from the Energy Chamber of Trinidad and Tobago.
Structure
Dr. John C. Maxwell, postulates “Personnel determines the potential of an
organization”, while structure determines its size”. Our organizational size is
encapsulated in our team structure.

20/20TeleOptics leadership subscribes to a strong sense of “families” and Christian

Many global surveys, done over the last two years, by repeatable firms and
organizations, have concluded that telecom continues to be a growing, vibrant
ecosystem, expanding rapidly across a broad swath of product, technology and
services companies. And believe there will be many new and emerging opportunities
which could continue to provide robust growth across all of the telecommunications
sub-sectors.

courses, from City & Guilds of the UK LLC, in the area of Training and development of
human resources in communications cabling and telecom construction here in Trinidad
& Tobago.
Massy Communications, one of our top clients, has benefited tremendously with outside
plant staffing in construction and fiber placement. We are also supplying the following

the Company as a result of its strict adherence to the rules and regulations set out has had

requirements it will be discarded and new one will be provided by the Company.

The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Personnel comply with these requirements. Any breaches of the safety regulations are dealt with in the strictest manner, a written communication with suspension for a first safety breach and in the event a second safety breach is committed, the personnel's employment will be terminated with immediate effect.
