2017 Bond Sale and Refunding
The City of College Station is proposing a 2017 bond sale and refunding. They plan to issue $81.8 million in new general obligation and certificate of obligation bonds for various capital projects such as street, park, and water improvements. They also plan to refund $14.66 million in outstanding 2009 bonds to achieve debt service savings. City staff is recommending approval of ordinances authorizing the issuance and competitive sale of the new general obligation bonds, certificates of obligation, and refunding bonds. A financial advisor from FirstSouthwest presented details on the proposed bond sale.

Richmond Main Street: Revitalizing Historic Downtown Richmond
About Richmond Main Street and our work to achieve out vision: Historic Downtown Richmond is a safe, vibrant, thriving destination for arts, entertainment, businesses, and residents with an easily accessible transit center.
Richmond Main Street in 2013
The Downtown Richmond Partnership organized many events, programs, and improvements in 2013 to promote the downtown area. Over 14,000 people attended 14 community events, 26 farmers' markets hosted 128 fitness classes. Volunteers contributed over 900 hours to support these programs. New developments included the opening of a new BART parking garage and installation of holiday lights and banners in the downtown streets.
Art In Windows Fall 2012: Virtual Art Walk
This virtual art walk document features artwork displayed on Macdonald Avenue between 7th and 12th Streets in downtown Richmond. It includes drawings of heroes from the Iron Triangle neighborhood by Frederick Franklin, as well as murals depicting black history and heritage at the Richmond BART station. Community events like the Iron Triangle picnic are also represented in various artworks featured along Macdonald Avenue.
Richmond Main Street in 2012
2012 was an amazing year for Richmond Main Street and the revitalization of Historic Downtown Richmond. We implemented a wide range of programs designed to revitalize our community through business assistance, beautification, entertainment, health, and arts programs. Major developments include establishing a weekly, seasonal farmers' market, free Zumba fitness classes, and the area's very first business improvement district.
