2016: A Year of Transition
Our goal at AMI is the gospel proclaimed to the nations of
the world and every believer equipped and mobilized to
fulfill their God‐given purpose!
Transition to Oklahoma City!
The call of God sometimes carries us to places where we're most resistant to
go. Looking out over the beautiful city of Geraardsbergen, Belgium in 2011, I
answered the call of God into full‐time ministry. It was then that I bargained
with God NOT to return home to St. Louis, Missouri! I thought he would allow

with God NOT to return home to St. Louis, Missouri! I thought he would allow
me to chase my best friend, Jennifer, who was living in St. Paul, Minnesota at
the time. But that wasn't so. He brought me back to St. Louis and shortly
thereafter, my fiancé, now wife Jennifer followed. Fast forward five years to
2016: through a multitude of life's seasons, we are moving into closer
conformity to Christ, and Jen and I are off to Oklahoma City!
During the summer of last year, the Lord began to move on our hearts about
OKC. We have a great relationship with a friend, mentor, and pastor who is
being used mightly by God to make an impact in the state of Oklahoma. When
we initially visited OKC in July, we were interviewed for a significant leadership
role at his church. However, after the interviews, we all knew that the
role wasn't God's will for this season. Later that evening, the Holy Spirit
specifically spoke to my heart: "I am asking you to do something that will
require greater faith." I pondered, Uh‐oh what might this be? The next day, I
was leaving on a month mission to Africa, and during my time there, God
began stirring my heart for OKC again! One evening with hardly any phone
reception, I called Jen to tell her what was happening in my heart.
Unbeknownst to me, He was doing the same thing in her heart tens of
thousands of miles away! I still remember her words, "I believe were suppose to
go to OKC next year."
So, what will Jen and I be doing there?! We will continue to further establish
AMI and pursue God's call as missionary evangelist to the nations. As I shared
earlier, God is asking us to do something that requires greater faith in Him! In
addition to the move, we sensed the Lord's call for Jen to join the ministry
team in a support role, so this year will be Jen's last year teaching formally. We
are both extremely excited and nervous about this opportunity, but trusting
God because His ways and thoughts are higher than ours!
During our time here in St. Louis, we've seen God do such incredible work in
our lives, marriage, and the ministry (AMI). Looking back over God's faithfulness
brings tears to my eyes. Wow! The eternal investments of friendships and souls
added to God's kingdom is quite humbling. We want to thank our family,
friends, and AMI family for all the encouragement, prayer, and support over
these past 5 years and look forward to the journey ahead!

As we embark on our journey to OKC, we are excited to add Natalie to our
team! The skill, energy, and passion she will bring to AMI is indisputable. From
Minneapolis, MN she is transitioning her work in the secular field of
development and fundraising with several world renown companies to join AMI.
Natalie will be our Director of Donor Development & Relations beginning Fall
2016 in Oklahoma City. Her role will focus on building and cultivating
relationships with current and prospective donors, while also creating a
development team allowing AMI to carry out its vision. Please pray for her
during this time of transition!

In Judges chapter six, Gideon believed tens of thousands of soldiers would be
needed to destroy Israel's enemy, the Midianites. However, God had another
plan ‐ he only needed 300!
As God is expanding our territory to reach souls and equip the church, He also
knows what we need. This year God has laid on our hearts to pray for 300 new
ministry partners to join AMI, each giving $20 to $50 per month.
