Don't miss the best benefits and philanthropic events in Chicago.Yosef Meystel
Chicago is a city that cares, and its various foundations, charities and nonprofit organizations, along with their sponsors and supporters are living proof that change can happen, only if we’re willing to take part in it.
One of the things we're particularly proud of is the spirit of giving that lives in each of our associates. It is that spirit that led us to create the Quill Soul Board. The Soul Board's mission is to create a sense of community and teamwork among our associates by encouraging participation in local community activities that support our 3 areas of focus:
– Breast cancer awareness, research and education
– Events/activities in local schools
– Giving back to surrounding communities
It is our goal to spotlight activities and charities in which our associates and departments are already involved, provide information on volunteer opportunities and make it easy for associates to engage in community activities. Here's what our employees have been doing:

Narrated Business Proposal for the Philadelphia Eaglescamrynascott12
Slide 1:
Welcome, and thank you for joining me today. We will explore a strategic proposal to enhance parking and traffic management at Lincoln Financial Field, aiming to improve the overall fan experience and operational efficiency. This comprehensive plan addresses existing challenges and leverages innovative solutions to create a smoother and more enjoyable experience for our fans.
Slide 2:
Picture this: It’s a crisp fall afternoon, driving towards Lincoln Financial Field. The atmosphere is electric—tailgaters grilling, fans in Eagles jerseys creating a sea of green and white. The air buzzes with camaraderie and anticipation. You park, join the throng, and make your way to your seat. The stadium roars as the Eagles take the field, sending chills down your spine. Each play is a thrilling dance of strategy and skill. This is what being an Eagles fan is all about—the joy, the pride, and the shared experience.
Slide 3:
But now, the day is marred by frustration. The excitement wanes as you struggle to find a parking spot. The congestion is overwhelming, and tempers flare. The delays mean you miss the pre-game excitement, the tailgate camaraderie, and even the opening kick-off. After the game, the joy of victory or the shared solace of defeat is overshadowed by the stress of navigating out of the parking lot. The gridlock, honking horns, and endless waiting drain the energy and joy from what should have been an unforgettable experience.
Our proposal aims to eliminate these frustrations, ensuring that from arrival to departure, your experience is extraordinary. Efficient parking and smooth traffic flow are key to maintaining the high spirits and excitement that make game days special.
Slide 4:
The Philadelphia Eagles are not just a premier NFL team; they are an integral part of the community, hosting games, concerts, and various events at Lincoln Financial Field. Our state-of-the-art stadium is designed to provide a world-class experience for every attendee. Whether it's the thrill of game day, the excitement of a live concert, or the camaraderie of community events, we pride ourselves on delivering a fan-first experience and maintaining operational excellence across all our activities. Our commitment to our fans and community is unwavering, and we continuously strive to enhance every aspect of their experience, ensuring they leave with unforgettable memories.
Slide 5:
Recent trends show an increasing demand for efficient event logistics. Our customer feedback has consistently highlighted frustrations with parking and traffic. Surveys indicate that a significant number of fans are dissatisfied with the current parking situation. Comparisons with other venues like Citizens Bank Park and Wells Fargo Center reveal that we lag in terms of parking efficiency and convenience. These insights underscore the urgent need for innovation to meet and exceed fan expectations.

AUCTION
The Crosscutters hosted the 9th
annual Hot Stove Banquet in January
with proceeds from the event
benefitting American Rescue Workers.
Guest speakers from both the Phillies
and the Crosscutters marked the
night, including Cutters manager &
1992 World Series MVP Pat Borders.

silent auction of sports memorabilia.

sold out event. In all, a total of $6,175
was raised for ARW.
3. BULLY BUSTERS UNITE
The Crosscutters continued the school
assembly program Bully Busters Unite
in 2015. The Bully Buster program is
centered on bullying prevention and
positively effects young audiences by
engaging them directly. Through some
digging, our host and audience
discover that Boomer is being bullied
at school. After taking a look at what
Boomer is dealing with, the audience
learns how to handle a variety of
bullying situations. The show’s
message is reinforced through the
delivery of posters highlighting key
tips from the show that can be
displayed in the classroom or around
the school. Students are also given an
activity book designed to engage and
further teach them how to handle
bullying.
4. GRAND SLAM READING
PROGRAM
For 19 seasons the Crosscutters have
been promoting the importance of
reading and education through the
Grand Slam Reading Program. Each
spring, local elementary schools are
invited to participate in the program.
Students attending the participating
schools are encouraged to read,
especially during the summer months
and are given a special Crosscutters
bookmark to keep track of their
reading. Students who read 4 books
during the summer are awarded two
free tickets to a Crosscutters game.
One lucky student is randomly drawn
from all participants as the Grand
Prize winner and receives a new
laptop computer from Susquehanna
Computer Innovations. In 2015 27
local schools participated, with
10,984 students enrolled in the
program.
5. CUTTERS 5K RUN FOR
THE CDC
On June 17, the Crosscutters hosted a
5k Run for the Children's
Development Center of Williamsport.
Runners and walkers had the chance
to run with the Cutters manager and
members of our coaching staff.
Thanks to hundreds of runners, we
were able to raise $8,825 for the CDC!
6. MILITARY
APPRECIATION NIGHT
The Crosscutters celebrated Military
Appreciation night on July 3. The
night included a special pregame
ceremony honoring local veterans
who were included in a local Military
Heroes card set, along with special
Stars ‘N’ Stripes caps that were worn
by Cutters players and coaches, and
were auctioned off during the game.
Proceeds from the auction benefited
the Sgt. Sean Thomas Foundation. A
total of $1,365 was raised.
7. PET FRIENDLY
WEEKEND& PET PHOTO
JERSEY
The Crosscutters celebrated Pet
Friendly Weekend in July, culminating
with a unique Pet Photo Jersey
Auction on July 12. Fans were asked
to submit photos of their pets to be
included on the jersey. The players
wore the jerseys over the weekend,
and they were auctioned off to fans
on Sunday. A total of $4,195 was
raised for the Lycoming County SPCA.
8. STAR WARS NIGHT
On August 2, the Crosscutters held
Star Wars night, including a special
jersey auction. Cutters players and
coaches donned Star Wars themed
jerseys during the game, that fans
could bid on in a silent auction. All
proceeds from the auction benefited
the Avis Recreation Association. A
total of $3,255 was raised.
9. IRISH HERITAGE NIGHT
The Crosscutters celebrated Irish
Heritage Night on August 1 with
plenty of Irish food and folklore! The
players wore special Irish themed
jerseys that were auctioned off to
fans during the game. The luck of the
Irish was with us, a total of $2,755
was raised for K’s for Cancer, a locally
founded charity.
10. DOMINICAN
PLATE
On July 14 the Crosscutters held our
third annual Dominican Plate, an
event to celebrate the culture and
heritage of our Latin players and
community members, with all
proceeds benefitting locally founded
A.C.E.S. – a charity focused on
education efforts in the Dominican.
The night featured traditional
Dominican food, drink and dancing all
served up by the Cutters’ Latin
players. In 2015 this event raised
$5,000 for the A.C.E.S. program.
11. FOOD & CLOTHING
DRIVES
During the 2015 season, the
Crosscutters held one food drive and
one clothing drive at Susquehanna
Bank Park. Fans who donated any
canned or non-perishable food item
to the Central PA Food Bank
collection, or any gently used clothing
to the American Rescue Workers
collection received half-priced general
admission. Over 700 pounds of food
and 800 pounds of clothing was
collected for distribution to local
families in need.
12. CHARITABLE TUESDAYS
Throughout the season the
Crosscutters provide local charitable
organizations the opportunity to join
us at the ballpark and promote their
programs. This initiative, called
Charitable Tuesdays, highlights one
organization at each Tuesday game.
The organization is interviewed on-
field before the game, gets to throw
out the ceremonial first pitch, and is
able to set up a table in the concourse
to distribute information to Cutters’
fans. Five organizations participated
in this program in 2015.
Participating Organizations:
• Wings over Williamsport
• Families United Network
• Community Services Group
• Blue Star Mothers
• Clinical Outcomes Group
13. LCUW
HOME RUN TEAM

with businesses throughout the
community to present the Lycoming
County United Way Home Run Team
in 2015. Local businesses pledged to
donated $25 each time a Cutters
player hit a home run at Susquehanna
Bank Park. In 2015, this initiative
raised $6,000 for the Lycoming
County United Way. With the annual
help of local businesses, the Home
Run Team has raised more than
$148,000 over 22 seasons.
14. SCORE FOR YOUR
NEIGHBORS
For the 3rd straight season, the
Crosscutters teamed up with ConAgra
Foods to present the Score for Your
Neighbors Program. For every run the
Cutters scored at home during the
2015 season, ConAgra Foods donated
$10 to the Central PA Food Bank,
helping to reduce hunger in Lycoming
and 26 other counties across
Pennsylvania. This year's campaign
raised a total of $1,700.
