CART
color
Materials inside trash cans go into our local landfill.
Recyclables from the blue cart are accepted at a dis-
counted rate and are sent to a recycling facility.
There, it is sorted and sent to manufacturers to be made
into new products (contaminants that can’t be recycled
are landfilled out-of-county, so please put only acceptable
recyclablesintothebluecart).
Clean grass, leaves and bush/tree trimmings are used
for beneficial cover to help prevent erosion on
side slopes and to cover daily waste at the landfill.

What does it mean? What does it mean?
HouseholdHazardousWaste
Did you know?
Recyclables and
green waste material
need to be kept loose,
notbagged. Bags tangle
up recycling machinery and
contaminate yard material.
Most stores are required
to have collection bins
for plastic shopping bags.
And since the bags are separate
from other materials in these
collection-bins, bags can be
manufactured into products
like composite decking.
Do not place household hazardous waste (HHW) into any curbside container or down any drain.
