2. What is RDA
• RDA: Resource Description and Access
• RDAはAACR2に取って変わる新しい目録規則
– AACR2: Anglo‐American Cataloguing Rules, 2 edtion
（英米目録規則第2版）
• RDAの全体的な目的は：資料発見の支援のた
めのデータ標準化のガイドラインおよび規則 “a
set of guidelines and instructions on formulating
data to support resource discovery”(0.0)

3. AACR2とここが違う！
1. FRBRとFRADという理論的なフレームワークに
基づいている
2. ディジタル環境のためにデザインされている
3. AACR2より広い範囲を対象としている
→図書館だけじゃない、英語圏だけじゃない
（ただし、AACR2と強くリンクもしている）

ワークに基づいている
• ユーザ
– 大規模な書誌データ、典拠データを使う人（＋作る人）
• ユーザのタスク
– 大規模な書誌データを使うときによくあるタスク
• find, identify, select, obtain
– 大規模な典拠データを使うときによくあるタスク
• find, identify, contextualize (clarify), justify(understand)
• 記録される書誌or典拠データ・・・ERモデルで
– Entity（Work, Expression, Manifestation, Item, Person…）
– Relationship（Work expressed…）
– Attribute（Title proper...）
