This study compared anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT), Scheimpflug imaging, and biomicroscopy for detecting graft detachment after Descemet's membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) surgery in 120 eyes. AS-OCT detected graft detachment with 64% diagnostic value, higher than Scheimpflug imaging at 36%. Biomicroscopy, Scheimpflug imaging, and AS-OCT all performed equally well at detecting complete graft detachments. However, AS-OCT performed better than Scheimpflug imaging and biomicroscopy for detecting flat or partial graft detachments. The study concluded that AS-OCT is most effective for detecting subtle graft detachments after DMEK surgery

While CLE can effectively correct refractive errors, bioptics may occasionally be needed due to measurement errors. The unplanned bioptics rate in this study was 10.5% for distance vision, with a 3.5% rate for non-toric lenses and 7% for toric lenses. Near vision bioptics was 0% with one case still pending.
