2012 Plan of Action
1. We believe in resiliency, a can-do
spirit, and the power of
community. Our organization was
founded in 1919 by women who
refused to be victims of inequity.
2. Similar threats are
present today, and
we exist to face
those challenges
together - through
the power of
continual career
relevance, strong
network
connections, and
prioritizing our
critical health
issues.
3. Through the roadmaps left
by the generations before us
and the plethora of modern-
day business knowledge,
the path before us has been
paved and lit.
We must simply have the
courage to take the next
steps.
5. 2. We must test the relevance of our focus areas:
continual career relevance, strong network
connections, and prioritizing critical health issues.
6. 3. We must amend our Bylaws and Policies &
Procedures to expand the leadership team,
streamline committees, and facilitate
necessary communication and decision-
making.
7. 4. We must continue assembling our virtual toolbox,
allowing members to collaborate and connect
without geographic limitations.
8. 5. We must use our branding to reflect
our core value: the power of
community - of connection.
9. 6. We must actively seek partnerships with like-minded
organizations to better leverage our resources and
build on their specialized knowledge in critical areas.
10. 7. We must increase our
engagement in the online
conversation, through
our volunteer Online
Marketing Team.
11. 8. For our new members, we must provide an
onboarding experience that facilitates an
understanding of our history, our beliefs,
and how we translate them into action.
12. 9. We must also pay careful attention to our
ongoing member experience, supporting
local organizations and e-members.
13. 10. We must not forget the importance of face
time. With a core value of connection,
gathering together in person is a critical
component of why we exist.
