This document is the 2008 edition of The Little Green Data Book published by the World Bank. It contains regional and country level data on environmental and development indicators with a focus on climate change. The introduction discusses how climate change can negatively impact agriculture, health, and infrastructure globally, with developing countries expected to be hardest hit. Data shows agricultural productivity may decline over 15% by 2080 due to climate change. Rising sea levels threaten coastal areas in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East the most. Countries most vulnerable to extreme weather include Ethiopia, Bangladesh, and small island nations. Developing country emissions are growing faster than high-income nations, though per capita emissions remain much higher in high-income countries.
