This document summarizes a research project on aging in urban environments conducted from 2010-2012. The project used both qualitative and quantitative methods including focus groups, case studies, interviews, and a two-wave survey of over 1,200 people across major Czech cities. The research questions focused on how changing urban environments impact the aging experience, how biological aging influences place use, and strategies for dealing with challenges and utilizing opportunities related to regeneration, gentrification, and social networks. The survey modules gathered data on mobility, quality of life, perceptions of neighborhoods and their changes over time, housing, and social connections.
