Cultural diversity advances civilization by exposing people to new ideas and perspectives, challenging stagnant mindsets and practices, and encouraging innovation as cultures borrow and build upon each other's knowledge, traditions and technologies. However, diversity also brings challenges like cultural clashes that societies must address through tolerance, understanding and institutionalizing shared values of justice and human rights. On balance, a diverse yet cohesive society that harnesses different cultures' strengths is most likely to progress.
