Function SRU: Switching Route Unit The SRU controls and manages the system. SFU: Switching Fabric Unit The SFU performs the switching function, supports expeditious data exchange. SPU: Service Processing Unit The SPU performs functions such as service control, user packet forwarding, flow control, quality of service (QoS), and packet inspection.
