in India from March 2013-May 2014.
Through Anita’s role as Program Manager, she was responsible for all aspects of
running our volunteer programs in Kerala, India. This included managing international
volunteers and a small staff team, overseeing all in country health and safety,
maintaining quality programs and strong partner relationships, and overseeing
communications, logistics and all administration and reporting for all of GVI’s India
operations.
Anita’s role required a high level of responsibility and organization. Program managers
are responsible for care of projects, staff and volunteers 24 hours/7 days a week and
are faced with a number of challenging situations that require on the spot decisions and
effective problem solving skills.
Anita George managed her role and India operations ran smoothly during her stay. She
is also a lovely person with a good sense of humor. I would recommend her for a job
