The Pew Hispanic Center report reveals a 24% increase in Hispanic college enrollment from 2009 to 2010, with young Hispanics accounting for 1.8 million, or 15%, of the total 12.2 million college students in the U.S. This growth is attributed not only to population increases but also to rising educational attainment levels among Hispanics. Despite this progress, young Hispanics still lag behind other racial groups in college completion rates, with only 13% obtaining a bachelor's degree by age 29.
